Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I hope you have had an opportunity to review my 2022 Legislative Session Report. If you have not received it, I encourage you to take a look at it. It covers a number of high profile issues before the Legislature this year. It touches on the majority party's record spending, the fact that we adjourned with no emergency powers reform or tax relief, and there were bills passed that threaten your Second Amendment rights.
I also discuss my legislation to cut out the state portion of property taxes, and bills I introduced related to election reforms. Click on the newsletter below to review it.
On Monday, May 16 my legislative communications will be under election-year restrictions or a freeze. The restrictions last until late November, after the fall election is certified by the Secretary of State.
It is important to point out that the freeze does not restrict me from responding to your emails, phone calls, and messages. I am also allowed to meet with constituents. I would encourage you to contact me if you have any questions, concerns, ideas for legislation or you just need assistance with a state government issue. I am your state representative year-round and I am happy to assist you.
Robert J. Sutherland
WA State Representative, District 39
